Selected-area blur is manual and supports Rectangle or Circle. It does not automatically detect faces, text, license plates, or other sensitive content, so review the exported pixels when privacy matters.

Whole image, rectangle or circle

Drag a selected blur area directly on the image.

Blur the full frame or switch to Selected area, choose Rectangle or Circle, then move the highlighted area on the preview and resize it from a corner. Reuse the same placement across a batch or customize individual images when layouts differ.

Private by design

Source images are decoded and processed locally in your browser. No image-processing API upload is required for this tool.

  • Blur the whole image or only a selected area.
  • Choose Rectangle or Circle for selected-area blur.
  • Drag the highlighted blur area directly on the image and resize it from a corner.
  • Adjust blur strength and watch the live preview update.
  • Apply one setup across a batch or customize individual images before download.
How to use it

How to blur an image or part of an image online.

Blur the whole image or switch to Selected area, choose Rectangle or Circle, drag the selection directly on the image, resize it from a corner and preview the effect before processing.

01

Choose Whole image or Selected area

Use Whole image for an all-over blur. Choose Selected area when you only want to blur one part of the image.

02

Choose Rectangle or Circle

Selected-area mode supports a rectangular or circular blur selection so the highlighted area can better match the part of the image you want to soften.

03

Drag and resize the selected area

Move the highlighted blur area directly on the image and pull a corner to resize it. Fine-tune X, Y, width and height percentages only when exact placement is useful.

04

Adjust strength, preview and process

Change the blur strength and watch the live preview update. Apply the setup across similar images or use individual overrides, then process locally and download the results.

When to use it

Blur a whole image, rectangle or circle for backgrounds and selected details.

Direct drag makes selected-area blur easier to position visually. The selection remains manual and does not automatically detect faces, text, license plates or other sensitive content.

Batch or individual

Use Apply to all when the same setup fits the batch. Switch to Edit individually when one image needs different settings without rebuilding the rest of the queue.

  • Soften a full image for a background, banner or design layer.
  • Blur a rectangular section of a screenshot, document preview or repeated layout.
  • Use a circular blur area when the detail you want to soften fits a rounder selection.
  • Reuse one selected area across similarly framed images, then customize exceptions individually.
FAQ

Blur Image FAQ

Practical answers about blur image, local processing, batch behavior and output limitations.

Can I blur only part of an image?

Yes. Choose Selected area, select Rectangle or Circle, then drag the highlighted area directly on the image and resize it from a corner.

Can I make a circular blur area?

Yes. Selected-area mode includes Circle as well as Rectangle. Choose Circle and position or resize it directly on the preview.

Can the tool automatically find faces, text or license plates?

No. Rectangle and Circle are manual selections. The tool does not automatically detect faces, text, license plates or other sensitive content.

Is blur guaranteed to permanently hide sensitive information?

Do not assume a visual blur is sufficient for every privacy or security requirement. Review the exported pixels and use an appropriate redaction workflow when information must be irrecoverable.

Can I use one blur area across a batch?

Yes, when the target area appears in a similar relative position. Use Apply to all for the shared setup and individual overrides for exceptions.

Are source images uploaded for blurring?

No image-processing API upload is required. Supported images are decoded, previewed, blurred and encoded locally in the browser.
