Acceptable use
You may use ConvertAnyFile for lawful file conversion. You are responsible for ensuring that you have the rights and permissions needed to process the files you select and for complying with laws or contractual obligations that apply to your files.
Your files and outputs
The current local converters do not intentionally take ownership of your source files or generated outputs. Conversion creates new output copies and can alter compression, metadata, color representation, animation, transparency, table structure, line endings, field representation, or other format-specific properties.
Review important outputs before using them in production, archival, publishing, data-import, or other workflows where fidelity matters. Keep the original source when loss of metadata, transparency, animation, schema details, data types, or format-specific features would be costly.
Availability and supported formats
The site may change supported formats, batch limits, runtime libraries, or browser requirements as the platform evolves. A file extension listed by the interface does not guarantee that every damaged, unusual, or nonconforming variation can be processed successfully.
Browser-first conversion depends on the device, browser, available memory, and the category engine. Image support can depend on runtime codecs. Structured Data currently requires valid UTF-8 and follows documented conversion rules rather than custom schemas or ETL mappings.
No guarantee of perfect conversion
File formats are complex. Some files may be damaged, use unusual codec variants or encodings, exceed browser memory, or contain features that the target format cannot represent. A failed or imperfect conversion is possible.
Image format conversion is not restoration, upscaling, archival verification, or forensic recovery. Structured-data conversion is not schema validation, database migration, formula execution, type inference, or business-rule transformation. A new extension does not guarantee that every property of the source is representable in the output.
Liability
Use the service at your own discretion and keep backups of important originals. ConvertAnyFile is not intended to replace professional archival, forensic, medical, legal, financial, engineering, regulated-data, or other high-stakes file-processing systems where independent validation is required.
Changes
These terms may be updated as the platform expands. Continued use after changes means you are using the service under the current published terms.
